·`TV IS BAD FOR US AND THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE WITHOUT IT´

Many people think that TV is bad for us but I don't agree that this idea because I believe that television is good at many things if you don't watch too much.

In my opinion, TV is very useful because we can know what is happening to other places of the world.
We can see other countries, other cultures and another type of people from our house, without having to travel or spend money.
Also it is a good way of spending free time for the old people or ill people who cannot go out of their house and they must too keep amused.
In some channels they broadcast very interesting documentaries or really good movies and if you miss one programme or movie you can record it!

However, TV can cause problems of sight if we watch it in the dark, It's clear that without TV people would go out more and would do more sport, children would play more in the street... instead of being seated in their house.
There are channels that use badly vocabulary and the children learn of them and I believe that these progammes should to be banned.

In conclusion, I think that TV has bad things but also great things. If we don't watch too much TV it does not damage.

· HOLIDAYS TO ITALY

I and my family traveled to Italy. We visited trhee different places in Italy: Venice, Milan and Pisa.

Venice is bigger than Milan and Pisa. In Venice, we visited the Piazza San Marco, wich is a very important square because there ara a lot of pigeons. Also, we visited the Basilica of San Marco. Then, we went by the canal of Venice by gondola, this was a new experience because it is strange to find canals in the middle of the city. We took a boat wich was a taxi and we wnt to Murano, Burano and Torchello, three interesting islands. Finally we bought a mask as a souvenir because the masks are really popular because of the carnival wich takes place in this city it's very important.
Milan was very eciting for me because there are lots of shops and I love shopping! However, the shops used to be crowded and this was pretty stressful. A lot of shops were fairly expensive.
In Milan there is a famous cathedral and we visited this cathedral. it is extremy big and beautiful.
In Pisa we only visited the Pisa towe, which is rare because it's a leaning tower. We took a lot of photos pretending to hold the leaning tower.

During these days in Italy, the weather was hot and sunny every day.
The typical food in Italy is pasta and pizza and we ate it every day. I didn't have any problem with it because pasta and pizza are my favorite food. We bought a packet of spaghettis because there were very good.
Italian people are extremly friendly, cheerful and educated and the boys are really charms!

In these holidays I liked most going by gondola and I didn't like the trip by bus because it was a little bit boring and too long for me. I recommend everyone to go to Italy because there are a lot of interesting things to do and to visit.
I would like to return to italy because I liked it a lot but i would like to return to Venice in February to see the famous carnival, I'm sure it is spectacular!

Hello Juliet!

How are you? I’m writing this letter to explain to you how I and my family celebrate Christmas.

Every year, we celebrate Christmas. On the day before, have dinner with my uncles and my cousins. After the dinner, we exchange presents. It is my favourite day from all days of Christmas.

Next day, on 25th of December, we get together at home and have a family lunch. We eat soup and “carn d’olla” because these are typical plates on this day in Catalonia. In the evening, we go to the next village to watch the living crib. At night I go out with my friends.
During Christmas, we put a Christmas tree and we decorate it with colourful lights.
I love Christmas because I have fun with my family and with my friends.

·SIMPLE PLAN

We had to choose a group of music for do an oral exposition in english class and we choose simple plan.

-We chose simple plan because it is a good group and his song are very beautiful. They starting to play in the 90's. They are a Canadien band and they play pop-punk music.

The group consist of five members: Pierre Bowier who is the singer, David Destrosiers who plays the bass, Sebatien who plays a guitar, Jeft Stinco who also plays a guitar and Chuch who is the drummer.

-They started to play in 2001 in big festivals in Toronto when they also recorded his first album. They had a big success in 2001 and in 2004 they recorded his second album.
They have recorded 3 disks and 1 single in total.
Now they are touring arround the world.

-We like this group, and the song we like most is untitled. This is a sad song wich is about car accident. It's very sentimental and beautiful. The most popular song is Welcome to my live. It is a song about comparisons among the life of the singer with the life of other persons.

·OLOT-NEW YORK

Olot is a small city of Catalonia, and New York is a big city of United States.
Olot is smaller tahn NY and in NY there are more people than Olot.
In NY there are more skyscrapers, people, shops, cinemas, theaters, pollution, traffic... than Olot.
The statue of the liberty is the most important monument of New York.
In Olot there are more fields, mountains, gardens... than NY.

I think that NY is better than Olot because there are more buildings and more important monuments than Olot, and think that Olot is better than NY because there are'nt pollution and there are more fields and gardens than NY.
